Young The Giant !!!




Just like Walk the Moon, Young The Giant is an indies band and has a very unique sound. They formed in Irvine, California in 2004. Some of their songs are "Cough Syrup, Body, Typhoon, Apartment, I Got, and 12 Fingers."  There are many more amazing songs that you can listen to. Hope you love them as much as I do!!!!! GO YTG!!!!

New band!

Hey guys! This is my second music blog! Today, i have another new and awesome band for you!

Walk The Moon! 

They are a remarkable new music band! They are one of my favorites! I bet that most you haven't heard of them because they are from Ohio and  are an indies-rock band, which makes them even more awesome. The members are Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and Eli Maiman. Some of their songs are " Anna Sun, Lisa Baby, Quesadilla , I Want, I Want, Stone Cold Fox, The Liftaway, Blue Dress, Jenny, Me and All my Friends, Iscariot, I can Lift a Car,William Blake, Angeline, Anthem, Ball and Chain, La La Metropolitan", and more. Please look up this amazing band. They are sure to be really big and i guarantee you will like them. They are fun and have a unique sound. I LOVE WALK THE MOON!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you have a great day, get stuffed, and watch Lady Gaga's special. There are a lot of good shows on tonight including: "A  very Gaga(lady gaga) Thanksgiving" on channel  7, A very Mammoth Christmas" (ice age) on channel 32, "Horton Hears a Who" on Channel 5, and more. Just look at you T.V. guide for more great shows to watch on Turkey night. Please comment and tell me about your Thanksgiving and all of the great food, traditions, shows, parades, and more. 11/11/11 Happy Vets Day!!!

Hey everyone!!!!! I just want to wish you a happy Veterans Day!!!! Today is also 11/11/11. There will only be one more day with the month, date, and year the same(12/12/12) for the rest of ETERNITY!!!!!!(dun dun dun!!!) At 11:11 today, you are supposed to make a wish. Since 11:11am has already passed, try to stay up and wish at 11:11pm.(don't tell your parents I told you this!!!! : D) Hope you have a great day and don't forget to wish!!!!!!!! Love Garnet!!!!!!!!

Guess Who!!!!

My 6th grade teacher came back from South America today. I am following his blog and have his email so the last I knew he was having a great time in Mexico! Imagine how shocked, surprised, and excited I was when I saw him today! He is super tall, around 6'6" so when my class saw him today, everyone felt like shrimps. We kept saying "Did he grow and did I shrink?!" Him coming to visit us was the icing on the cake since we had a half day today.
We found out he was at our school today when a girl looked out the door window and saw him walking past in the hallway! We all thought that she was trying to trick us, but one person went out to check, then a couple more. When there was about 5 of us out in the hallway, everyone else realized we were telling the truth, so there was a sudden, almost synchronized stampede for the door. Kids were getting stuck in the doorway in there rush to get to the hall. Once my whole class was out in the hall, sounding as loud as a construction site, he decided to go into our class, and of course we all followed. Our classroom was all dark because we were watching "Apollo 13", which was still playing since my teacher hadn't had a chance to pause it as he tried to learn the cause for our rush to the hall. My 6th grade teacher talked to us for a while as we all followed him around and made our way back to our seats as we processed the fact that he was there. It was awesome. He left the class a few minutes later to go talk to the team leader for the upper grades, a.k.a. "vice principle". We finished the movie (which was awesome by the way. Our teacher showed us "October Sky" a month ago which was also really good.) and quickly packed our bags as we went in search of our old teacher. WE waited outside for him for about 5 minutes but quickly got bored and went in search of him. We found in all of 30 seconds and my friends and I talked to him for a good 20 minutes before I had to go because I couldn't have my dad waiting for me. It was awesome!!!!!


P.S. I wrote this on Friday night and forgot to post this until now. ( Yes I know that I could just edit it to make it in past tense, but I am WAY to tired and lazy right now!!!!:   : D )

I AM GRAGREFIED! I AM A LITTLE MONSTER! I AM A CHANCER! (and a whole bunch of other things.)

 Most of you probably don't know what I mean in my title. What I mean is that I love Lady Gaga, Greyson Chance, Adele and a whole load of other singers and songs.
               I LOVE YOU MOTHER MONSTER!
Everyone who hasn't been living under a rock for the past few tears has heard of Lady Gaga and her awesome music. She isn't afraid to be herself and doesn't care what other people say. She is a regular person and still has normal moments when she is insecure about her voice, music and is still shocked how fast she became so famous. Her music is always awesome and doesn't fail to shock.
Some awesome songs of hers are: " Mary The Night, born This Way, Americano, Hair, Schiebe, Bloody Mary, Black Jesus Amen Fashion, Fashion of His Love, Bad Kids, Highway Unicorn (Road To Love), Heavy Metal Lover, Electric Chapel, The Queen, You And I, and The Edge Of Glory." There are a lot more awesome songs of Gaga's that you can listen to along with these. I LOVE MY MOTHER MONSTER!

  SO YOUNG AND SO TALENTED!
 One new awesome star exploding onto the scene is Greyson Chance. He is very young( he just turned 14 in August) but has an amazing talent. He sings and writes his own songs. He writes from the heart and knows how to communicate and please his audience while still keeping the songs his own, not the same type of songs that are on the radio 24/7.If you have never heard of him, I recommend that you check him out.
Some awesome songs of his are: "Waiting Outside the Lines, Unfriend You, Home is in Your Eyes, Hold on Til the Night, Heart like Stone, Little London Girl, Cheyenne, Summertrain, Stranded, and Take a Look at Me Now". There are a bunch more songs by Greyson Chance that you can also listen to. To all you haters, I love you Greyson! You Rock!
                
THIS IS WHY I AM SO HAPPY TO BE 1/16 BRITISH!
Another new, but older singer is Adele. I have a feeling that most of you have heard of her before. She is from London and some of her most famous songs "Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You". She has a big voice and sings songs that fit it perfectly. To me she has a little bit of a gospel in her voice but is current and a little bit of pop yet is reserved and very distinctive.
Some of her awesome songs are: "Rolling in the Deep, Rumor Has It, Turning Tables, Don't You Remember, Set Fire to the Rain, He Won't Go, Take it All, I'll be Waiting, One and Only, Lovesong, and Someone  Like You." I am sure that Adele has more songs that are amazing to listen to besides the fantastic one in my list. She has a distinctive voice and knows how to keep a song interesting, current, and fun, yet gospel-like, beautiful, and something that everyone will love

FAMOUS, TIMELESS, TALENTED, AWESOME!
The next singer/singers I am going to write about are the Beatles.(Yes, I know that I said that I would write about singers, but the Beatles sing., Okay!) The Beatles is probably the most famous band ever, an for good reason. Their songs are catchy, fun, and everyone loves them. Everyone knows who they are and now their songs. I just can't resist singing along when I hear some of their songs. I f you don 't know some of their songs, you are a down right freak of nature!

WHAT CAN I SAY? IT HAS ALL BEEN SAID! HE ROCKS!
Another amazing singer was Michael Jackson. Everyone knows who he is and his songs. One of his most famous songs and one of my favorite is "Thriller". There is no way to describe his voice and talent. He had awesome dance moves and now matter how hard I try I can't really do the "Moonwalk". He is the King of Pop music. Scratch that, he IS Pop music. He changed music and still has a gigantic impact on it today.

If I wrote about every awesome singer I now of, it would take people years to read everything I would write, so I will just list some more amazing singers  I know!

 Singers: Adam Lambert, Christina Grimmie, Katy Perry, Beyonce, J.Lo, Mumford and Sons, Demi Lovato, and more!

Okay, okay I know what you're thinking," What just happened?!? I thought that there would be more amazing songs and singers than this! I guess that Garnet has actually ran out of music to write about!:(" Well, you're wrong! I have a ton more that i can write about, but I don't want to give away all of my secrets! You have to do some exploring of your own, you know. I just can't give you a free pass to say you have the best taste in music(like me!)!   

Now, don't be so devastated, you can find out more amazing songs or singers that I know of, or maybe some I don't even know!(*sarcastically* FAT CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!) If you find some that you think I might impossibly not know, or just love a song or singer so much that you just have to tell, or have a little known favorite singer that you want me and more people to know about, please leave a comment, suggestion, insult or a profession of love to yours truly( ah ha ha! hey, you, don't laugh! Its possible that an absolute stranger is absolutely in love with me! *cue- turn head Snicker snicker snicker*) to your hearts desire; it's a free country! The only thing that can stop you is you!- and your parents, your teacher, your siblings, a secret government aide out to keep your secret crush on me a secret( again, Yes again!, HAHAHA :)), an alien from planet Mars out to destroy your life and eat all of the snowballs( hey, I love Arthur, it is a really good show, and no one can forget D.W. and her M.I.A. snowball)! Did you notice.........?

I finally have a profile picture! Yes, it is not of me, but it IS a picture of one of my 3 babies. I have 3 dogs, a Pug named Bugsy, a Siberian Husky-Border Collie mix named Nikita, Shih Tzu named Cookie. Cookie and Nikita are rescues, and we got Bugsy from our neighbors who didn't want him(I can't imagine why!). The dog on my profile picture is Bugsy, and I will try to change it every now and then so that I will have all of my dogs as my profile picure at least once.

 

I think B-Boy is tired! I just woke him up from a nap, the cutie pie!!!!!

Every month I will change my main topic in order to make this blog interesting and fun to read.
